We have two anthologies that we used while studying (perhaps not the correct wording) for our Inter Cert.
Exploring English 1 – complied by Augustine Martin. This is the re-published version of 1967 original. The anthology has a new foreword by Dermot Bolger. It also has the original Introduction by Augustine Martin. Among the authors of the short stories are Frank O’Connor, Mary Lavin, Bryan Mac Mahon and Brendan Behan.
Exploring English 2 – complied by James J Carey. This is an original 1967 first edition. The book has been used by a student previously. Some of the text has been under lined and marked, otherwise the book is in good condition. The introduction & notes were written by James J Carey. Among the authors of the prose essays are Jonathan Swift, Jane Austen, Padraic Pearse and Robin Flower.
