This volume contains all George Orwell’s full length works of non-fiction. It also includes the bulk of his essays. Orwell was also a prolific reviewer and the bulk of his reviews are also included.
The full length works is;
- Down and Out in Paris and London
- Homage to Catalonia
- The Road to Wigan Pier
A personal favourite is Bookshop Memories which was published in November 1936. This is an essay about his time as a s secondhand book salesman. Gripping stuff.
This volume gives a great insight into the writings of one of the greatest writers of the 2oth Century.
