Níl aon leabhairín mar do Mheabhar-chinn fhéin when translated from Irish means “there is no small book like your own mind”. This is one on the many Irish sayings and proverbs that have been collected in this book.
The author has an introduction in English. She explains how she collected the proverbs and how their meninges came about.
On an interesting note. The Irish versions of the proverbs are printed in “old Irish” , “new Irish” and an English translation. So there is no excuse not to enjoy the many the Irish truisms and Seanfhocail.
