We are featuring an unusual offering today. This book was bound/made up and contains three distinct volumes. Two of the books are by Harold Begbie and the third by Max O’Rell. The book was bound by a previous owner. The two Begbie books are first and third in the volume. The O’Rell book is sandwiched in the middle. Interestingly the O’Rell book is printed in a totally different font than the other two.
The books are;
- The Lady Next Door by Harold Begbie
- John Bull and his Island by Max O’Rell (pseudonym used by Leon Paul Blouet)
- Broken Earthenware by Harold Begbie
The binding was carried out the a high standard and the book is in very good condition. The book has a good quality hardback cover.
It would be interesting to know why a previous owner went the time and expense to amalgamate and bind these three books in one volume.
