The Book of Conquests was published in 1978. This is a First Edition paperback copy. The book is ex-library but is in good condition throughout.
The artwork is of the most wonderful standard, bright and vibrant and you can actually see through the eyes of the characters. Jim Fitpatrick has drawn the battles, the love, and the loss of the mythical Tuatha de Danann to a very high standard. He has demonstrated the wonderful mythical tales Ireland has to offer. The Celtic design is amazing.
In The Silver Arm Jim Fitzpatrick resorts again to that treasure house of his Irish childhood. This is a cultural heritage shared. He has transmitted not only the works by Yeats & Lady Gregory but by a thousand unknown voices telling the lovingly guarded stories to countless generations of children and adults alike.
As well the books by Fitzpatrick we have seven Sláine graphic novels. Including the Books of Invasions volumes 1, 2 & 3. The Sláine books are also very well illustrated. Four books are hardback and three others are paperback.
