The narrow gauge railway from Tralee to Dingle is sadly missed. It was a great amenity serving the people of the Dingle Peninsula. We stock three books about this steam train.
The most famous is by P B Whitehouse. This slim book was published in the 1950’s. In the 1970’s David Rowlands published a further history of the line.
Finally, The Dingle Train was published in 1994, to commemorate the opening of the now defunct line to Blennerville. The latter book was compiled by David Rowlands, Walter McGrath and Tom Francis.
We stock all three books. They are must have books for anyone who cares about Tralee and West Kerry history.
