The Vandeleurs of Kilrush, County Clare is a comprehensive history of the well-known family. Using a wide variety of sources, it covers the early years of the family in Kilrush.  Their involvement with the development of the town and its harbours. The family’s relationship with their tenants during the Famine and  the later evictions. Finally  their departure from Kilrush in the late nineteenth century.

The publication also contains transcriptions of many Vandeleur leases dating from 1785. there is also a complete transcription of the memorials in the Church of Ireland Graveyard in Kilrush.
